Macro Group UK

The Pure and Applied Macromolecular Chemistry Group (Macro Group UK) is a joint interest group of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Society of Chemical Industry. Our membership is drawn from academia and industry, and spans the entire career range from research student to senior positions in industry and academia. By bringing together practitioners at every level we are able to play an important role in influencing both the strength and direction of polymer chemistry in the UK:

organising meetings and conferences, disseminating, discussing and evaluating polymer science and technology
providing bursaries to support student attendance at conferences
helping to ensure a continuing climate of academic and industrial excellence in polymer science
awarding medals recognising outstanding contributions to polymer science
disseminating information to members via a Newsletter and Bulletin (issued jointly with the Polymer Physics Group) and through our web sites

The Macro Group is closely affiliated with the Polymer Physics Group, which is a joint interest group of the Institute of Physics and the Royal Society of Chemistry. The two groups together encompass the UK's premier polymer scientists in industry and academia.
